 Hotel Posada Real de Chiapas is a beautiful resort located
in a gorgeous colonial house from the 18th century that
was remodeled in the first half of the 20th century under
supervision of the famous architect Carlos Z. Flores, who
also designed and built the current City Hall. The
interior structure of the hotel keeps the original style
it had when it was first built and its neoclassic façade
still keeps the style and design used for its remodeling
in the first few years of the past century.
Originally, this gorgeous vice royal building was
constituted by 16 rooms with large halls surrounding two
central patios and some stables. Nowadays this majestic
building keeps one section of the main patio, some halls
and some of the original rooms. Hotel Posada Real de
